Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch or 9-inch glass baking dish.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef and the ranch seasoning mix. Gently mix until the seasoning is evenly distributed.
Form the seasoned beef mixture into 6 evenly sized burger patties.
Place the patties into the prepared baking dish in a single layer. Tip: If using sour cream or milk for extra sauce, whisk it lightly and pour it into the bottom of the dish around the patties.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of each patty.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the beef is cooked through and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let the dish rest for 5 minutes. The natural beef juices will mix with the melted cheese and optional cream to form a savory pan sauce.
Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve warm.
